Punathil Kunjabdulla
Punathil Kunjabdulla (Malayalam: പുനത്തില് കുഞ്ഞബ്ദുള്ള) (born 1940) is a well known Malayalam language novelist and short story writer from Kerala state, South India. He is a medical doctor by profession. Kunjabdulla is a modernist in Malayalam literature.[1][2] His novel Smarakasilakal won the Kendra Sahithya Academy Award (Malayalam) in 1980.[3]
Profession
Born in Vadakara in Kozhikode district, Kunjabdulla received a Bachelor's degree from Brennen College, Thalassery and an MBBS degree from Aligarh Muslim University. He is a registered medical practitioner and has been running a hospital in Vadakara.
